Your information
The short version: we ask for an email so we can send you the daily digest. We never sell your information, and you can leave with one tap. The longer version is below.
What we collect
When you subscribe, we store your email address and any towns or sections you choose so the digest can match what you care about. When we send the digest, we record whether it was opened and which links were followed, so we can tell what is useful and keep the list healthy. If you send a correction, we keep what you submitted and, if you provide it, your email so we can follow up.
How we use it
To send you the 3pm daily digest, to make it more relevant, and to answer you when you reach out. That is the whole list. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not use it to build profiles for anyone else.
Who helps deliver it
The site is hosted in the cloud, and the digest is delivered through an email service provider on our behalf. Sign-up forms use a bot-protection challenge to keep out automated abuse. These providers process the data needed to do their job and nothing more.
Leaving, and your choices
Every digest carries a one-tap unsubscribe link, and it takes effect right away. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Just write to corrections@greaternorthwoods.com.
Corrections and takedowns
We link to original reporting and public records; we do not re-host them. If something about you or your organization is wrong, or you want a record reviewed, use the corrections desk or the address above. We review every request.
We may update this page as the service grows. Material changes will be noted here.
