Merilyn Carter Penn, age 86, stepped into heaven Dec. 12, 2018. She was born Dec. 31, 1931 in Eagle River to Frank and Alida Carter. Merilyn was a well-known pianist (and sometimes organist) in the area. She played for Northland Pines High School as well as many local churches.
