St. Germain is a Wisconsin town (an unincorporated minor civil division) in southern Vilas County, in the heart of the Northwoods along State Highway 70 between Eagle River and Minocqua. Its 2020 Census population was 2,083, with a Wisconsin Department of Administration final estimate of 2,122 as of January 1, 2025. The town is governed by an elected town board and is a four-season tourism destination built around Big and Little St. Germain Lakes, the Bo-Boen snowmobile trail system, and its identity as the 'Birthplace of Colorama.' Children attend the Northland Pines School District, and the nearest hubs are Eagle River to the east and Minocqua to the west.
