Radisson is a small incorporated village in the Town of Radisson, Sawyer County, in northwestern Wisconsin, sitting on the east side of the Couderay River at the junction of State Highways 27/70 and 40 and County Highway H, about 28 miles from the county seat of Hayward. It was incorporated in 1952 and named for the French explorer Pierre-Esprit Radisson, and its 2020 Census population was 273. The village is governed by an elected Village Board that meets the second Monday of each month, and its identity is centered on Northwoods recreation: the 74-mile Tuscobia State Trail (built on the abandoned rail line the DNR acquired in the 1960s), an ATV park, a ballfield, and the Couderay River. Children attend the School District of Winter, and everyday commerce runs through a handful of local businesses such as Chippewa Valley Bank, Dollar General, Walters Brothers Lumber, and Helsing's Bar and Grill.
