The Town of Lac du Flambeau is a civil town in southwestern Vilas County, Wisconsin, coextensive with most of the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation, home of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. It had a 2020 census population of 3,552 and is governed by an elected town board alongside the tribal government, which (with its enterprises including the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino) is the largest employer in Vilas County. The town is defined by roughly 260 lakes, Ojibwe cultural heritage, and a tourism economy whose population swells sharply in summer.
