Looking for something to do while visiting beautiful Manitowish Waters? Check out the North Lakeland Discovery Center! With 12 miles of hiking, biking, snowshoe, and ski trails the North Lakeland Discovery Center is the best place in the Northwoods to connect with the world around you.
In addition to the hiking trails, the North Lakeland Discovery Center offers guided bird walks, canoe trips, pontoon cruises and campfires. If you are interested in learning something new while you visit, sign up for one of the great adult lectures or workshops.

We offer a wide range of environmental education programs year round for all ages. We distribute program guides twice a year, and our list of programs can be found on our website here.
We are strictly member and donation supported. Members and donors allow us to offer programs for free or at a reduced rate. Members enjoy benefits like discounts on some programs and free use of our canoes and kayaks on non-motorized Statehouse Lake. Become a member or make a donation anytime on our website.

Our Nature Playscape welcomes children of all ages, is open dusk to dawn all year long, and is the first and largest of its kind in the Northwoods.
