Crystal Lake Campground

Crystal Lake Campground is our go-to camp location because of the amenities it has to offer. The water is clear and safe as there are no motorized boats allowed. The Heart of Vilas County Bike Trail is accessible through the campground and there are handful of scenic hikes to explore within the area!

About Crystal Lake Campground

Crystal Lake Campground is one of our favorite weekend camping sites in the Northwoods!

The area is beautiful all year round but we very much enjoy biking, hiking, and swimming in the lake late spring to early fall. (Note: Motorized boats are not allowed on the lake.)

Camping
Since this is one of the most popular sites in the region, we recommend reserving your spot early on. Make sure to checkout a few sites that have access to the lake when making reservation!

If you are an RV camper, as of 2021, there is no direct electricity and water hookup on site. So, do not forget your generator and/or extra solar battery storage!

Swimming or Paddling
Since motorized boats are not allowed in the lake, it makes it much more ideal for swimming, paddling, or just relaxing along the shore!

Biking
The Heart of Vilas County Bike Path is accessible from the campground.

We highly recommend the scenic Trout Lake section of the path. Be sure to visit Cathedral Point. Or if you head the other direction and are up for an ice cream treat, checkout The Corner Store on the way to Sayner!

Hiking
From the campground, you can take a scenic hike for the whole family at the Fallison Lake!
